  • Condition: 1972 Hess Tanker is a very confusing to Distinguish, The 72 And 74 are always, Is It 72 ?? or 74 ???, this Box was stamped December 5th 1972 on Bottom of the Box as shown in my Pictures Also Has The 1/8 Inch Lip At Back Of Catwalk Top Of Tank. Hess Used Several Different Molds In 72-74, bUT only 72 Had THE 1/8" lip. Also In 1973 U.S Pass law requiring warning labels, small Parts Not Recommended For Children Under 3 Years Old. Lights all tested and work as they should. Drivers side front head light is not as bright as passenger side but still shines bright as was normal for these trucks this age. Box has Very Bright Graphics with No Tape Repair and as as pristine as they come, very rare in this condition at 49 years old. All Original Parts and intact. See Pictures for any other questions.     Truck looks to be unplayed W
    ith, Battery compartment is clean and all wire in place. Light all work as they should Paint And Decals are all Bright and Intact. All Original parts and box. Box Graphics are bright with No Tape Repairs, and is stamped from factory Dec. 5th 1972. both 72 and 74 had the same mold, so it always a question, 72 or 74. also in 73 us government had all toy company's stamp small parts can be unsafe for children. This 72 has no such stamp. you can buy this rarity with confidence
