. all of my books are VERY OLD and have 100+ years of wear to varying degrees
very good plus condition.... for its age:
boards -
secure, leather is soft. gilt is not perfect - but nearly so! hardly any wear to the leather / true color is picture #1 = brown with black borders
textblock
- pages very secure
outer joints
-  pretty good - just starting to get tender
spine ends
- very good top - the smallest amount of wear to the top 1 / small repair to the bottom
along with some chipping [ shown in last picture ] / spine was a bit dry and starting to crack so it does have some wrinkles -  I put conditioner on it several times and now the leather is soft.

tips
- worn through a bit & touched up
inner hinges
-  very good, new brown cloth [over the old brown cloth] to help secure the boards
pages
- generally very clean! hardly any spots. 20 leaves with a very light stain in the upper corner, showed you the darkest part in picture #11, most are lighter than this
writing
- name on ffep
rips /folds
- no bad folds that I saw, a few wee tips bent / several [ maybe 40? - out of 1,270 pages] very, very small rips / front end paper has edge wear plus a few [ maybe 12?] very small nicks to some edges --very small!! wee tip of the free rear endpaper missing
other:
- there was a name on the front cover in gilt, when it came to me someone had tried to eliminate the name, so that area is touched up - please zoom in picture #2 - it is just below the gilt picture / 2 of the tissue guards are missing

this book is very old and
may have accumulated bad smells along the way [musty basement/ mildew/ smoke]
- I have found that
dryer sheets in them for a few months makes a world of difference!
some of my books get sold right away so
please consider using this trick before deciding to return it!
My nose doesn't work like it use to
so the old book smell doesn't bother me.
