    BC contains specialized bacteria that accelerates the breakdown of plant material in compost piles. The bacteria in BC continues to work over a wide temperature range, assuring constant action even after turning or aerating the compost. There is no need to add lime to your compost since BC is buffered to maintain pH and is rich in calcium and magnesium.
